Land’s End Arts & Culture Centre proudly announces Convergence, a landmark exhibition
bringing together seven remarkable living Nova Scotia artists, June 6- July 31 at 341 Main Street in
downtown Yarmouth. This collection of art highlights the depth, diversity, and creative force
shaping the province’s cultural landscape today.
It features the work of seven area artists – Anne Cain, Cecil Day, John Hood, Roy Mandell, Janet Moore, Brian Porter, and Maggie Smith-Mandell.
“Convergence is about meeting points — between artists, between disciplines, and between
communities,” says Joann Ranson, Chair of Land’s End Arts & Culture Centre. “This exhibition
reflects the energy of Nova Scotia’s living artists and the stories they carry into the future.”
Each artist in Convergence brings a distinct perspective rooted in place, identity, and lived
experience. Together, their works create a dynamic conversation about belonging,
transformation, and the evolving role of art in rural and coastal communities.
Visitors can expect bold new works created specifically for this exhibition and a mix of
established and emerging voices spanning themes of memory, resilience, and cultural
continuity.
As part of Land’s End’s commitment to accessibility and community engagement, Convergence
will include an opening reception, artist talks and guided tours, school and senior bus program
visits, and hands-on creative workshops.
Admission is $10 Adults; $7 Seniors (65 and older) and Students (with valid student card); and $20 for Families. Admission is to the entire gallery. Gallery hours are:
