Maud Lewis: Coming Home

From June 21 to Sept. 20, a curated exhibition of approximately 80 original, privately-owned artworks by the famous Nova Scotian artist Maud Lewis will be on display in Yarmouth.

Maud Lewis was born in Yarmouth County, and the Town of Yarmouth was home to Maud for half of her life. This will be the largest exhibition of Maud Lewis artworks to ever take place in Southwestern Nova Scotia, and it will mark the first time that many of the exhibited paintings have travelled to Maud’s home town.

Not only will this exhibition be a homecoming for the works of Maud Lewis, but also for the gallery space. This exhibition will help celebrate the opening of a renewed, permanent, locally-owned art gallery, run by the volunteer arts organization Land’s End Arts and Culture Society.

The exhibit will run from Sunday, June 21 to Sunday, Sept. 20. Admission and open hours will be announced in the near future. Land’s End is located at 341 Main Street, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
